The Thirsty Scholar Pub

The Thirsty Scholar, a historic Pub located in Somerville, MA, is just a stone's throw from Cambridge and Harvard University.  We pride ourselves on a warm, old-school neighborhood atmosphere that is welcoming to all; the perfect restaurant and cocktail bar to unwind, meet with friends, catch a game, listen to live music, and basically, just relax and enjoy yourself.  We don't have just customers, we have friends and if we don't know you yet - we can't wait to meet you.  

Our goal is to make you feel at home while enjoying one of the many awesome dishes on our menu. We provide an amazing selection of food, local beer selections from throughout New England, craft cocktails, and a variety of entertainment, you should feel as comfortable here as you do in your own living room.

In addition to great food and drink, we have weekly events such as game nights, trivia nights,s and live music. We also are privy to a large collection of vintage board games which have become a huge hit with our customers. You'll also find beautifully aged mahogany bookshelves lined with classics from the likes of Hemingway, Emerson, Jane Austen, Edgar Allen Poe, Shakespeare, and more - a display that will transport you back in time. Our historic pub, located on the Somerville / Cambridge MA line is truly a Boston treasure you don't want to miss.
